Litter Pick
In contrast to last year's wet weather, 18 residents including 5 Cllrs, turned out on a warm sunny Saturday morning for the annual litter pick last Saturday. As usual Vaughan and Geoff cleaned and cut back around the road signs. Most of these are now very dilapidated. A small amount of litter was collected. There was however a considerable amount of debris at the flood site on the top road. Broken undertrays, hub caps and other vehicle related parts were collected. Retiring to the hall, coffee and cakes were consumed with much friendly chat. Thanks to all those who took part and those who organised the refreshments. Thanks also to NDC for the load of the equipment to complete the job safely. Finally the small amount picked up is a tribute to those who regularly retrieve litter from our roads.
Cllr Philip Hughes, Chairman.
